As the vibrant colors of spring emerge and the warmth of the sun beckons us outdoors, there’s nothing quite like the excitement of the first farmer’s market visit. For me, that anticipation always brings a flood of creative culinary ideas. A few months ago, when the rest of the world might still have been nestled under a blanket of snow, the desert air here in Tucson was already hinting at the glorious temperatures to come. To celebrate this beautiful shift, I indulged in some delightful cherry tomatoes from the market and crafted a classic panzanella salad. That experience sparked a desire to revisit this beloved bread salad, but with a unique, sun-drenched twist – perfect for those of us enjoying the full embrace of summer, even if that means a little cursing at the heat!
